One Word Survey
I was tagged for this survey by my friend Theresa. I’m a sucker for a survey, so here goes.
The Rules
- Display the award. (There is an “I Love Your Blog” Award associated with this survey. Will try to display it later, when I’m at home.)
- Link back to the person who gave me this award.
- Nominate at least 7 other blogs.
- Put links to those blogs on mine.
- Leave a message on the blogs of the people I’ve nominated. (Ditto for comment on rule 1.)

I don’t generally do memes of this type in my actual blog. Might post it at LJ. But thank you for thinking of me.
*I* have given *you* an Excellent Blog award. See MissMeliss DOT com for details.
Thanks, Erin. Warmed me up.
MissMeliss — No pressure. I tag people, but only expect them to do the meme if they are in a meme-type mood.
Kevin — I saw your list. Yay! Sadly, I can’t comment on people’s blogs that use blogger when I’m at the office. Our filters won’t allow it.
Anyway, that’s why I haven’t had a chance to do the comment alerts thing. Or to figure out how to display that blog award graphic that my friend Theresa had on her blog.
I knew you must be away from where your bells and whistles worked. I thought maybe it was somewhere LIKE S. Padre… Ouch. That was cruel. I’m remembering your sigh now. I’m sorry.
I was really just trying to segue into how Padre was one of my saviors when I lived in Texas. That island and Mexico. (I went to military school near there. ick.)
LOL! Thinking about SPI is never a bad thing. My husband grew up in Brownsville, so we’ve had many vacations on SPI. I love it all the time, but the best is in the off season. Our best trip there was a week in April — peaceful, not crowded, yet still warm enough to be outside. Our honeymoon there in January was nice, too, though — despite the rain.
So your husband is quite familiar with Matamores. That’s where I learned about the world.
I had a friend who’s dad had a condo on Padre. I’ve been there every time of year but July. It’s nice a lot of the time.
I’ll bet your honeymoon was great.
Matamoros? It’s been so long…
Strangely enough, I’ve yet to visit Matamores. I’ve always wanted to, but my in-laws don’t cross the border much and somehow we’ve never gotten around to it.
But, yeah, I know my husband spent time there while he was growing up.
